A blank or incorrectly displayed Epic Games Launcher can sometimes be fixed by clearing its web cache. Exit the launcher first and target only the cache folders Epic names. This is an interface troubleshooting step, not an instruction to erase your game library.

Identify the scope of the display problem
Write down what is missing: the entire window, the store content, or one library entry. Check whether the interface responds at all. That description matters because a missing purchase and a blank application window are different symptoms.
Before removing anything, make sure you can identify the application and folder you are working with. If the path does not match the official instructions, stop rather than choosing a similarly named directory.
Follow Epic’s Windows cache procedure
Exit Epic Games Launcher from its system-tray icon. Open the Windows Run dialog, enter %localappdata%, and navigate to EpicGamesLauncher, then Saved. Epic identifies webcache, webcache_4147, and webcache_4430 as cache folders to remove if present. You may not have all three. Restart the launcher afterward so it can rebuild the cache. Follow Epic’s cache-reset instructions; do not remove the whole Saved directory.
Why the folder boundary matters
The word “cache” in a guide is not permission to erase every folder containing application data. Read the complete path and the individual folder names before acting. Keep other folders in place unless a separate official procedure specifically identifies them.
If Windows reports that a file is in use, review whether the launcher has actually exited. Do not escalate immediately to a force-delete utility. A tool that promises to remove locked files adds a new variable to a simple troubleshooting task.
Check the result before changing anything else
After restarting, inspect the same view that was blank. If the library and controls display normally, stop and verify that you can open the game’s usual management menu. You do not need to keep clearing a cache once the symptom is gone.
If the display is unchanged, save that result. Avoid deleting additional folders just because the named cache folders did not solve the issue. The official article says clearing cache can help; it does not establish that every blank window has that cause.
A missing game needs an account check
If the interface works but a specific game is absent, confirm the signed-in account before treating the absence as a damaged installation. Check your own purchase or claim confirmation and compare the account you used. Do not paste receipts or personal account details into a public comment.
This distinction prevents an unnecessary uninstall. Repairing the visible interface and establishing which account holds a title are separate investigations, even when both initially look like “my library is empty.”
Escalate with a precise description
Send official support the operating system, launcher symptom, screenshot, and the cache folders that were present. State that you followed the documented reset and whether it changed anything. If the issue started immediately after an update, include that timing without declaring it the confirmed cause.
Do not include login credentials. Let support request any diagnostic files through its own channel, and review those files for private information before sharing.
Should you use these Windows steps on a Mac?
No. File locations differ. Epic provides a separate macOS procedure on the same support page. Use the instructions for the operating system you actually have instead of translating Windows folder names by guesswork.
