Levelling up in ranked is not about playing more hours — it is about playing the right hours, in the right modes, with the right goal. This guide covers what genuinely changes your progression speed, tested across a full season.
1. Play inside the bonus windows
Your first two matches of the day pay bonus experience, and the bonus resets at 5am server time. If you can only play every other day, spread your sessions across different days rather than doubling up: two matches on two days beats four matches on one.
2. Finish your matches, always
Abandoning a lost match feels like saving time, but the completion bonus is worth more than the result. A full loss pays around 60% of a win; an abandon pays nothing and goes on your conduct record.
3. Weekly missions before anything else
The weekly track is where the real volume of experience sits. Open the list before you start playing and pick the mode that closes two missions at once — there is almost always a combination that does.
- Elimination missions pair well with the quick-play modes.
- Objective missions need the capture modes, not the elimination ones.
- Assist missions are the fastest if you play in a duo.
4. Play with a fixed duo
The group bonus is small per match, but the real effect is different: coordinated duos win more, and a win is worth nearly double a loss. Across a week, that is the biggest multiplier available to you.
5. Stop when you get tired
It sounds like empty advice, but it is measurable: win rate drops consistently after the fifth match in a row. Since experience follows the result, playing tired literally earns less per hour than stopping and coming back tomorrow.
