After the last balance pass, half the popular PvP builds simply stopped working. We tested what was left in high ranked and picked out the three that deliver consistently — with the reasoning behind each one, so you can adapt rather than copy.
Build 1: aggressive entry
Built for players who open space for the team. It trades resistance for movement speed and reload, betting on reaching the point first and forcing the fight before the enemy sets up.
It works very well on the closed maps in the current rotation and badly on the open ones. If your team does not follow the entry, it becomes organised suicide — call it beforehand.
Build 2: sustain
The safest of the three and the best pick if you are climbing divisions. It prioritises regeneration and damage reduction, accepting a slower time-to-kill in exchange for surviving the bad trades.
- Ideal for solo queue, with no coordination required.
- Loses value in matches that end quickly.
- It is the build with the smallest performance swing between matches.
Build 3: area control
The hardest to play and the strongest when it lands. It gives up direct damage for space-denial tools, which only pays off if you can read the enemy rotation ahead of time.
We would leave this one until about 30 hours into the season. Before that, the sustain build earns more points for far less effort.
