The current Valorant agent tier list is led by Clove and Neon. Clove holds the highest win rate in the game at roughly 53 percent, and Neon leads the duelists at 52.1 percent. At Platinum and above, Killjoy edges ahead on win rate, while Chamber is the single most picked agent in the game at 27.7 percent.
We are in V26 Act 5, which started on August 18 with patch 13.04. Patch 13.05 followed on September 1 with mostly bug fixes, plus new penalties for stream sniping and instalock tools. The map pool also shifted, with Abyss back in competitive and Breeze out. Here is where every role stands, and why pick rate and win rate tell very different stories.
Valorant agent tier list: the top of the ladder
| Tier | Agents |
| S | Clove, Neon |
| A | Sage, Viper, Killjoy, Vyse, Fade, Sova, Phoenix, Cypher, Skye, Raze |
| C | Jett, Yoru, Waylay |
| D | Veto, Deadlock, Brimstone, Astra, Omen |
| F | Gekko, KAY/O, Iso, Miks, Harbor, Breach |
Clove is the standout. A 53 percent win rate on a 13.8 percent pick rate is rare. Agents that popular usually regress toward 50 percent.
Neon is the only duelist in S tier. Her 52.1 percent win rate comes on a modest 5.3 percent pick rate, which suggests the players choosing her know what they are doing.
At the bottom, Breach sits at 45.1 percent and Harbor at 46.1 percent. Both are hard to justify in solo queue right now.
Best agents by role
Duelists: Neon leads at 52.1 percent, followed by Phoenix at 51.5 percent and Raze at 50.1 percent. Jett remains the most locked duelist in the game but sits at roughly 50 percent.
Controllers: Clove tops the role at 53 percent. Viper follows at 52.1 percent on just a 2 percent pick rate. Brimstone trails at 49.2 percent.
Initiators: Fade leads at 51.9 percent, then Sova at 51.7 percent and Skye at 50.8 percent. No initiator currently reaches S tier.
Sentinels: Sage posts 52.7 percent, Killjoy 52 percent and Vyse 51.8 percent. Like initiators, no sentinel hits S tier this patch.
Pick rate and win rate are not the same thing
This is the part most tier lists skip, and it matters more than any letter grade.
Chamber is picked in 27.7 percent of Platinum and above games. That is by far the highest pick rate in Valorant. It does not mean he has the highest win rate.
Jett is the clearest example. At Radiant she is locked in nearly 20 percent of games. Across all ranks her win rate sits around 50 percent, which is exactly average.
Sage runs the opposite way. She posts a 52.7 percent win rate on a 1.3 percent pick rate. Almost nobody plays her, and the few who do win more often.
A high pick rate tells you what is popular. A high win rate tells you what is working. The agents worth targeting sit high on both, which right now means Clove above everyone else.
Most overrated and underrated picks this patch
Viper is the clearest underrated pick. A 52.1 percent win rate on a 2 percent pick rate means most lobbies are not running her at all.
Sage is the same story at an even lower pick rate. If you are climbing out of the lower ranks, she is one of the most efficient picks available.
Jett is the most overrated by the numbers. She is enormously popular and delivers average results for most players.
Omen and Iso both stay widely picked despite sitting in the bottom tiers, at 2.5 percent and 1.2 percent respectively.
Why Valorant agent tier lists disagree with each other
Compare two trackers and you will get two different answers. That is not carelessness, it is methodology.
Rank bracket changes everything. At Platinum and above, Killjoy leads on win rate. Across all ranks, Clove leads. At Radiant, Jett is a top pick despite her average overall numbers.
Sample size matters too. A strong win rate over few games is less reliable than a steadier result across thousands of matches. That is why good lists do not sort purely by win rate.
Some lists also rank by popularity rather than performance. Both are valid, but they answer different questions.
None of these numbers come from Riot. They come from third party trackers reading public match data, so treat them as strong signals rather than official figures.
Tips for using this Valorant agent tier list
Pick for your rank, not for Radiant. What professional players lock has little bearing on a Gold lobby.
Fill the missing role first. A team without a controller loses more games than a team without the optimal duelist.
Learn two agents properly instead of five badly. Agent mastery beats tier placement in almost every bracket.
Target the underrated picks. Viper and Sage win more than the meta picks, and almost nobody contests them in agent select.
Check the map. Agent value swings hard with rotation, and Abyss just returned to competitive while Breeze left.

Frequently asked questions
Clove, by win rate. She posts roughly 53 percent across all ranks while staying one of the most picked agents in the game.
Chamber, at 27.7 percent of games at Platinum and above. Jett is the most picked duelist, especially at Radiant.
She is playable but no longer dominant. Her win rate hovers near 50 percent across all ranks despite a very high pick rate.
Breach at 45.1 percent and Harbor at 46.1 percent are the weakest performers this patch, alongside Miks and Iso.
Chamber, Jett, Neon, Sova and Viper currently sit near 56.4 percent in tracked competitive matches.
Meaningfully every patch, roughly every two weeks. Act changes and map rotations move agents fastest.
Final thoughts
The current Valorant agent tier list rewards players willing to ignore what is popular. Clove is the exception that is both widely picked and genuinely strong. Everything else near the top, Viper and Sage especially, is being quietly underused.
If you want the simplest advice for climbing this act, lock Clove when the controller slot is open and learn Viper as your second. Both outperform the flashier picks, and neither gets contested in agent select. Patch details are on the official Valorant patch notes, and we will refresh this list when Act 6 lands.
